PACE is a credit interchange. It is an association of print and graphic media manufacturers formed for the express purpose of sharing factual ledger experience on mutual accounts.
Organized in 1965 and formerly named FMCI (Forms Manufacturers Credit Interchange), PACE is one of the most effective means available for monitoring your customers' credit worthiness.
Members of PACE form an association of print and graphic media manufacturers committed to sharing factual ledger experience on mutual accounts.
Members have access to a number of benefits, including:
- The PACE database includes information on over 100,000 print media distributors.
- Daily Flash Notices provide up-to-the-minute, urgent customer information such as NSF checks, placements for collection, changes of ownership/address, bankruptcies, etc.
- Membership provides a broad perspective of risk and minimizes your reliance on references listed in the credit application.
- Regular meetings provide educational opportunities through guest speakers and round table discussions on topics of importance to your credit function and your industry in general.
- Membership saves two of your most valuable resources - TIME and MONEY.
Membership Requirements
Members Must...
- be involved in the manufacturing of forms, labels, tags, binders, envelopes, ink, software, advertising specialties, graphic designs, bar codes, or any item utilized in the print media industry.
- have 51% of sales from the manufacture of their product.
and must comply with two of the following three items:
- have been in business at least 1 year.
- have 50 active dealer or distributor accounts, with "active" being defined as some activity in the previous twelve months.
- have annual sales exceeding $500,000.
Members must be willing to regularly share their aged ledger experience either manually or electronically.
Members must have internet access to view information in the PACE database.
Educational meetings are offered twice per year.
